The holidays are good to those in the ticket business!

I have noticed a large amount of tickets disappearing off of the numerous online ticket broker sites in the last week or so for all of the upcoming events. I also had a quick talk with with my favorite street ticket broker outside of the Timberwolves game tonight. He explained to me that when there are people in town for the holidays, ticket demand definitely picks up. Both of these things make total sense. People are always looking for something to do, other than staring at their great aunt and her mole, over the holidays. It looks to me that it doesn't even matter what is going on. For example, Minnesota Timberwolves tickets vs. the Milwaukee Bucks tonight were going for face value or more. If this game had been a few days earlier, the owners of the tickets wouldn't have been able to give them away. The Minnesota Wild game this Saturday is also a really big deal. MN Wild tickets for this game are virtually untouchable unless you are willing to pay big $. Next year, don't get left out in the cold over the holidays and buy your event tickets early. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
