The Gophers Football Season Ticket Holders have started to select their Minnesota Golden Gophers Football Tickets for next year's inaugural season at TCF Bank Stadium. It will be interesting to see what the demand is like at an on campus, outdoor and smaller venue like TCF Bank Stadium. My hunch is that Minnesota gopher Football Tickets will be super expensive.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers

I am planning on making the four hour trip to Lambeau Field this year for the big game between my beloved Minnesota Vikings and the hated Green Bay Packers. I spent a bunch of hours online looking for Packers Tickets and I cam across an excellent site. The website has a Green Bay Packers Schedule as well as really good prices on Green Bay Packer Tickets. I was able to buy two decent seats for $200/Ticket for the game. If you are going to the Packers/Vikings game at Lambeau Field, please come and say HI. I will be sitting in Section 103 Row 41! It is obviously a locally owned company and it appears as though they own a huge portion of all Vikings Tickets that are currently being offered on websites. Vikings Pre Season Schedule

The Minnesota Vikings just released their 2009 Pre Season opponents and as far as the ticket demand goes, they couldn't be better. The Vikings will host the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs during the Pre Season at the Metrodome. Both teams have a rabid fan base that is willing to travel. That facto should lead to increased demand for Vikings Tickets to those games. Historically, Pre Season Minnesota Vikings Tickets sell for $5/Ticket. I would be surprised if they are that inexpensive this year. GO VIKES!!!

Minnesota Twins Tickets

It know that it is hard to believe, but this is the last Minnesota Twins season at the Metrodome. By the sounds of it, there is definitely some level of nostalgia, felt by Twins fans, which has lead to Minnesota Twins Tickets being a super hot commodity. Get this, the Minnesota Twins have sold out the home opener on 4/6/2009 versus the Seattle Mariners. I checked out some of my favorite ticket sites and found that lower level Twins Tickets are selling for between $69 and $199/Ticket. All I can say is WOW!!!

For the record, the Twins play the Mariners the following evening and the same Twins Baseball Tickets range in price from $19 to $79/Ticket. I think that I am going to opt for this game. GO TWINKIES!!!

Minnesota Timberwolves Make Big Pricing Move

Just days after my last post applauding the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Wild for the freeze that they put on ticket prices for next year, the Minnesota Timberwolves did one better. On Tuesday, the Minnesota Timberwolves announced that they have slashed the 2009 prices on whole season Minnesota Timberwolves Tickets. Here are some of the highlights for next year:

1) Timberwolves Tickets in the upper level corner in decent rows are only $5/Ticket.

2) Timberwolves Basketball Tickets in the lower level corner are only $15/Ticket.

3) Minnesota Timberwolves Basketball Tickets in the first few rows of the upper level are just $15/Ticket.

You have to hand it to the Timberwolves, they have made a bold statement with their new pricing. No longer will price be a reason for the average fan not to head down to the Target Center for a Timberwolves game. WAY TO GO TIMBERWOLVES!!!

Local Pro Sports Franchises Finally Get It!

For the first time in approximately eight years, both the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Wild have kept their season tickets prices the same as they were last year. It is nice to see that they have both began to understand how tough it is for the average fan to buy season tickets and that it has become even more difficult due the poor economy.

I applaud the Minnesota Vikings for keeping the prices of Vikings tickets the same as last year even though the team did show some improvement by making it to the NFL Playoffs!

I also applaud the Minnesota Wild for not increasing the prices of Wild tickets even though they continue to sell out every game while producing a competitive and quality product!

Maybe the days of greedy Minnesota professional sport franchise owners like Red McCombs are behind us and we can count on the current owners to understand that sporting events are not just a privilege of the rich.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers Tickets

In my last post, I wrote about how inexpensive Minnesota Timberwolves Tickets are at this point of the season. With some further research I found that there is an exception to this. The Timberwolves Tickets for this Friday's game versus Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Tickets are relatively expensive. Ticket King is selling good center court lower level seats for $275/Ticket. Those seats have a face value of $125. That is a pretty good markup!

The only consolation for those of you interested in heading to the Target Center to catch the resurgence of the Minnesota Timberwolves is that this is the only game that has prices like this. Also, keep in mind a few years ago the same Timberwolves Basketball Tickets for the Lakers game sold for closer to $500/Ticket.

I have to admit that I am back on the bandwagon. The Timberwolves rock!!!

Minnesota Timberwolves Tickets Still Inexpensive

Even though the Minnesota Timberwolves are the hottest team in the NBA in 2009, Timberwolves tickets are still super inexpensive. I did some checking on this Friday's Timberwolves vs. Hornets game and it is possible to buy great Minnesota Timberwolves tickets at close to half of the face value. I found four tickets in Section 130 Row 3 which is a VIP seat only three rows off the court for $169/Ticket. The face value on that type of Timberwolves basketball ticket is $260.

It is obvious to me that the Twin Cities sports market has yet to embrace the Minnesota Timberwolves and the recent hot streak that they have been on. I have watched a couple of their recent games on television and I have been impressed with the on court product at the Target Center. I think that it is time for us to all buy cheap Timberwolves tickets and support our local team. Remember, it was less than ten years ago that you couldn't touch a Minnesota Timberwolves ticket at any price. GO WOLVES!!!

Cheap Minnesota Wild Tickets

Anyone interested in checking out the Minnesota Wild at a bargain price is in luck! There are Cheap Wild Tickets available for next Tuesday's game versus the Phoenix Coyotes. It is hard to believe but Wild Tickets for this game are selling for less than face value and I wouldn't be surprised if the prices kept going down. Maybe the Minnesota Wild fans are finally sick of the Marian Gaborik situation and the inability of the Minnesota Wild to take the next step.
